About this
little town.
Riverwood is a community home on the federated web. It joins a Mastodon town square with a Matrix back room, using one account for both.
A place to stay awhile.
Riverwood is an independent social federation network for furries and friends. Its Mastodon instance is the public square for posts and wider fediverse conversations. Its Matrix instance is the quieter place for rooms and real-time chat.
Matrix uses the Riverwood Mastodon account for authentication. Members create one account, keep one identity, and can move between both services without another password to remember.
The town’s autumn streets and strange, familiar warmth draw longstanding inspiration from the Longest Night universe. Riverwood is an independent community project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the creators or publishers of Night in the Woods.
The person behind the porch light.
Hi, I’m Lukas, the person who runs Riverwood. I look after the servers, shape the spaces, and try to keep this corner of the internet welcoming, human, and pleasantly odd.
